She attended the public schools of St. Lucie County ultimately graduating from Fort Pierce Central High School with the class of 1974. She then attended and gained more knowledge at Indian River Community College.
Julia worked for ALPI Head Start as a Classroom Aide for many years. Before her health failed, she was employed by the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections as a poll worker. She also started her own business cleaning peoples’ homes. In her spare time, she loved reading for extended periods of time and playing solitaire.
On July 24, 2020, Julia heard the call of the Almighty God bidding her to come and receive her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Reeves; sisters, Sheree Bradley and Karen McMillon; grandmother, Dolly Patterson Cobbs; grandfather, Ceasar Ricks; aunts, Daisy Rice, Minnie Pearl Lee, and Caretha Adams.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her children, Victoria Mathis, Michelle Adderley, Thomas Bradley, Christopher Bradley(Shay), Daryl Bradley, Tyrone Bradley, Anthony Bradley, and Quintin Mathis; daughter-in-law, Lucresha Reeves; parents, Virginia Elaine Bradley and Lee Andrew Haynes; siblings, Theron Haynes, Kirk Haynes, and Leandria Haynes; aunt, Isabell James uncles, Cecil Ricks, Donald Ricks, Al Hinson(Dorothy); special mothers, Johnnie Mae Franklin and Joyce Jackson; special cousins, Barbara and Jackie Kelley; special family friends, Alyssa Williams and Sheena Mead, and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
A Public viewing will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 5 - 7 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10 A.M. at Pine Grove Cemetery, 1100 Avenue K, Fort Pierce, Florida 34950.
