Obituary For Dennis Duncan Pollard

DENNIS DUNCAN POLLARD, the son of the late George William Pollard and the late Lula Mae Banks Pollard, was born on Saturday, March 8, 1958 in Lynchburg, Virginia. He received his formal education in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania City Schools and wasa graduate of the former John Harris High School. During his working career, Dennis was an employee of West Shore Country Club as a banquet waiter. In his leisure, he enjoyed music, sports and people. He loved to dance, spend time with his family and conversating with his friends. Dennis also loved walking all around town. On Thursday, July 23, 2020, Dennis Duncan Pollard, at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 16 days, transitioned into eternal life in the peace of his home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, two of his brothers; George W. Pollard, Jr. and George W. Pollard III and two of his sisters; Peggy Ann Pollard and Jackqyln Clark preceded him in transitioning into eternal life. He leaves to celebrate his life, his daughter, Erica McDonald and one grandson; his sisters, Lyndell Pollard, Claudette Allen and Joyce Pollard, all of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Justine Johnson of Lynchburg, Virginia; his brothers, Rickney Pollard and Larry Pollard, both of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; his brother-in-law, Marvin Allen; his sister-in-law, Tonya Pollard, both of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dennis’ life will be celebrated on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home at 704 N. Front Street, Steelton, PA with viewing and visitation at 11:00 a.m. until Noon and burial in Paxtang Cemetery in Harrisburg, PA.

Wow it's crazy how you don't have to know someone and care about them. I'm just learning his name but I talked to him everyday. Every night before I went in the house I made it my priority to see what was up with him. RIP
