Shayla Nicole McCray the daughter of Stephen Butler and Heather Parker was born on January 27, 1995 in Myrtle Beach, SC. She departed this early life Friday, July 24, 2020 after a tragic accident. Shayla attended public schools in Charleston, SC, and later earned her GED in Myrtle Beach, SC. Shayla was a licensed bartender. Shayla married Sha’Rah Lee McCray January 2016. To this union two children were born: Princeton Sha’Rah Lee McCray (Prince) and Kaleb Juliano Deshawn McCray (KJ/Pudd).

Shayla was preceded in death by one brother, Eric Butler and Grandfathers LaRoy Williams Sr. and Drawt Grate.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Sha’Rah McCray. Her children Princeton and Kaleb. Her parents Stephen (Rachel) Butler and Heather Parker. Her mother-in-law Sammiette (James) McCray and father-in-law James/Manzie (Kristina) Freshley. Her Grandmother Vera Grate of Loris, SC and Grandmother-in-law Delores McCray of Conway, SC. Four sisters; Stephanie Butler of Brooklyn, NY, Crystal Dukes-Clark of Columbia, SC, Leah Smith of Conway, SC and Brooklyn Butler of Myrtle Beach, SC. Seven brothers Carnail Graham (Duba) of Conway, SC, Stephen Ford of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mikle Butler of Myrtle Beach, SC, Raheem Butler of Society Hill, SC, Hezron (Nicole) Brown of Boston, MA, CeJarie Butler of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Darius Hough of Myrtle Beach, SC. One brother-in-law Terrance Session Jr. of Conway, SC. Two aunts Renee and Sharon Butler of Loris, SC. Two uncles Tracy Butler of Loris, SC and LaRoy Williams Jr. of Upper Marlboro, MD. A Godmother Marchette B Scott. God sister Tabatha Watts of Charleston, SC and close friends Desaree Ofarrell of Charleston, SC, Jenaysia Crane, Janiya Riley, and Alisha Ferguson all of Myrtle Beach, SC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relative and friends.

Visitation for Shayla will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 4pm-6pm at United Funeral Home, LLC, 3731Watson St. Loris, SC. VISITATION WILL BE WALK THROUGH ONLY. MASK ARE REQUIRED AND TEMPERATURES WILL BE TAKEN.
