She was a student in the Jefferson County Public School System where her high school years were spent at Thomas Jefferson High School. School was okay, but what she loved almost as much as she loved the Lord were her children. Those children of hers were what some would say were her “ride or die partners”! Throughout their lives, Emmett made sure she was the best provider she could be for them and herself too. One of her main jobs was as a cashier at various stores which was not always an easy task, but she was a hard worker and a good provider for all who depended on her.
Emmett Jane Pendleton Chambers’ journey down here on this earth ended much too soon on Monday, July 20, 2020, but God knows best. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Mary Jane Wells and Emmett Dailey; four brothers, Carl Pendleton, Robert Pendleton, Chester Pendleton, and Ronald Dailey; and two sisters, Mary C. Hickman and Arvenia Winger.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four sons, Terrence N. Chambers, Sr. (Christy), Aaron W. Chambers, Melvin Weathers (Tasha), and Greg Weathers (Chandra); one daughter, Kizzy Y. Chambers; three sisters, Darlene Weaver, Sharon Fowler (LC), Clara Marie Hayes; one brother, Theodore Dailey; all living in Louisville, KY; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and acquaintances.
