It is with profound sadness that Harrington Funeral Home Inc., announce the earthly transition of Pastor Wilma Jean Bussey.

The Matriarch of The Bussey Family has fallen asleep, Servant of God, well done. Rest from thy loved employ; the battle fought, the victory won, enter thy master’s joy.

Pastor Wilma Jean Roberson-Bussey, age 83, of Valdosta, GA., exchanged time for eternity as she gained the wings of a dove, and flew away to be at rest on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

She was born to the late Deacon Benjamin J. Roberson and Lillian Bryant Roberson on March 17, 1937 in Adel, GA. She received her education in the Clinch County School system. In the 1950’s she received her Cosmetology license and shortly after that she also received her CNA certificate and was a Private Caretaker for over 20 years to a loving and caring family.

She received Christ in 1960. In 1965, she accepted her call to ministry. In 1969, the family moved from Miami, FL to Valdosta, Ga to start a ministry under the great leadership of Bishop B. F. Carter, Sr. In 1973 through the leading of the Lord, she co-founded Victory Revival Pentecostal Holiness Church along with her husband, the late Bishop Albert L. Bussey, Sr. Overseer Bussey ministered to many people Nationally and Internationally from the Bahamas to Germany during her many years of Evangelism. After the passing of her husband, she served as General Overseer until her passing.

Well before her transition, from labor to reward, she had joined the ministry of Victory Bible Believers Fellowship, Inc. in 2016 under the leadership of her son, Bishop Albert L. Bussey, Jr., DD.

Legacy Celebration for Pastor Wilma Jean Bussey will be commemorated on Sunday, August 09, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the Grace Victory Church, 303 N. Forrest Street | Valdosta, Georgia. Elder Robert Daniels, Pastor. Bishop James Patrick Miller, DD, Presiding. Bishop Albert L. Bussey, Jr., B.A., M.Ed., DD, Eulogist Presiding Prelate, Victory Bible Believers Fellowship, Inc. Waycross, GA.

Mask and Social Distancing is a requirement.

Overseer Bussey leaves to cherish her memories her children: Willie J. Roberson (Maggie), Lessie Baker, Hilda Adkins (Lenwood), and Patricia Beckett, all of Valdosta, GA; Wyndy Carter (Nathaniel) of Waycross, GA; Mary Norwood of Miami, FL; Dr. Albert L. Bussey, Jr. (Crystal) of Waycross, GA; and her devoted daughter and Personal Caretaker, Bunny R. Bussey, B.A. of Lake Park, GA; her sisters: Bobbie Lawhorn of Miami, FL; Simon Roberson of Orange Park, FL; her sister-in-law, Eddie L. Roberson of Valdosta, GA; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; her special god-children: Patricia A. Collins of Valdosta, GA; Thomas Johnson (TJ) of Statenville, GA; Donna Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Ferris Corbett of City, SC; and a special little one close to her heart, her great-great-grandson, Jahsiah Dennis.

The Bussey Family wish to express our sincere thanks to all our many friends for the thoughtfulness shown through many visits, cards, words of encouragement, prayers and all other expressions of sympathy.

Overseer, Pastor Wilma Jean Roberson-Bussey, will be laid to rest in the Sunset Hill Cemetery Valdosta, GA.
