Ms. Barbara Jean Dixon Jones, Augusta, GA, departed this life, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, Matthews, GA. With masks and social distancing. Viewing will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home. Ms. Jones was a native of Vidette, Georgia, born, December 29, 1953, to the late parentage of Harvey Dixon, Sr. and Maude Ethel Morgan Dixon. She was a graduate of Wrens High School class of 1972. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter LaTonya Monique Jones. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Yvette (David Brown) Jones; siblings, Henry Lee Morgan, Sr., Jessie Lee Dixon, Sr., Harvie (Sherry) Dixon, Jr., Lonzie Dixon, Patrica (Henry) Dixon-Rosser, and Willie Dean Dixon; grandchildren, Brian C. Kelly, Dyllon Brown and, Da’Kari Brown; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, G.A., is in charge of funeral arrangements.
