My uncle Browdes was very kindhearted and sometimes he could be comical. He would take me to Western Carolina to college, for free. We had some very interesting talks on that long drive. I will always keep those memories dear to my heart. He always told me "If you do good things for someone, good things will come back to you." Take you rest Uncle Browdes until we meet again. Your nephew Anthony Malker.

WE extend our sincere condolences On behalf of the Watts Family of New Jersey, New York, Florida and North Carolina. Our memories of Browdes brings laughter and fun times spent with one of his best friends, our uncle Francis Hoffman. Browdes love of life and indefatigable devotion to his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews was evident of his character to live life to the fullest. His presence will be missed by all those who knew and cherished his friendship. May the Bratton family derive comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of his lord and savior. Early in the morning the little red truck would pull up In front of my door. Uncle Browdes would toot the horn and yell, "Are you alright?" At the end of the day as the sun was going down and he was on his way back down the road home he would stop again and say, "I'm gonna take it on in now and if you need anything let me know. We would sit around many days and laugh until we cried about old times good and bad. I will truly miss my uncle Browdes and his kind heart and wonderful spirit. He loved all his nieces and nephews and often shared kind words about his favorite sister-in-law, my mother, Elmina lovingly known as "Brown." I will sincerely miss you Uncle Browdes. As he always use to say, "one day I am going to bridge the gap between heaven and earth. You will be greatly miss down here but I know you are up there singing in God's heavenly choir. My heart is sadden by the passing of my Uncle Browdes. His beautiful smile and wonderful singing voice shall always remain in my heart. As a little girl he assured me that every Red bird who landed in our tree was there to sing especially to me. His best times were spent sitting around talking and laughing with his brothers, Eddie, Grady and my father Roy. He loved singing in church and riding around Dallas in his pick-up truck. I will miss you Uncle Browdes. You may be gone from this earth but never from my heart. Rest in Peace. Your Loving Niece Gwendolyn Bratton Watts

I will always remember my uncle Browdes as a happy person who loved to laugh and it was a very unusual laugh that he had you would always know it was him even before you saw him or before he entered the room and if it wasn't the laugh it was the humming or the singing of a hymn that would always bring a smile to your face. He and my dad(Roy) had a special bond and it was really lovely to watch. Browdes loved the Lord and he loved his siblings and all of his family in all actuality he just loved people. He had a motto to which he held steadfast and it was "Everybody Is Somebody" and he treated people as such You fought to the very end and your faith never wavered you ran the race and you finished the course..Rest With The Angels..
