Spartanburg, SC- Shannon Cortez Whiteside, 39, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2020. He was the son of Evelyn Salami (Fatai) and Stanley Benson.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: two sons, Shantez Whiteside and Shannon Whiteside, Jr.; two daughters, Cameron Whiteside and Cierra Whiteside all of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Mrs. Shandrea (Josh) Thompson; four brothers, Mr. Cordai (Dominique) Whiteside of Anderson, SC, Jowan (Bridget) Wheeler, Nathan Whiteside and Tavis (Zandra) Wheeler of Spartanburg, SC; special friend, Karen Lane; and a host of nieces, nephews aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Shannon was predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Mary Whiteside and Juna and Martha Benson

A Celebration of the Life of Shannon Cortez Whiteside will be held graveside on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1580 John Dodd Road, Wellford, SC. The Pastor Kenny McDowell will officiate.
