Mr. Marcus James 45, of Phenix City, AL passed on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in Phenix City, AL.

A private service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 with Pastor Eugene Hill officiating. Public visitation Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 2-5p.m. EST

Marcus D’Andre James was born May 23,1975 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Curtis Lee James Jr. and Agatha Hudson Hill. He was a1993 graduated of Central High School and was employed by 4 Pizza Pirates and Kingdom Maid Inc.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his only child, Kalin Dai James (Darius) Perry of Phenix City, Ala.; sisters, Marketta James Parker of Phenix City, Ala., and Nasheka Latimer of Columbus, Ga.; mother, Agatha Hudson (Eugene) Hill; grandchildren James Renard Perry and Joy Marie Perry; fiancé, Jody Allred of Euless, Texas; godson, Andre DeMarcus Tate; uncles, Joseph (Dot) James Sr., Lawrence C. (Barbara) Hudson, Earnest Lamar Hudson; aunts, Christine Ryles and Debra Gail (Jackie) Sumbry; great aunts Acrista “Lucy” Rutledge, Julia Mae Hudson and Diane Hudson; great uncle, Arthur Lee Rutledge; stepbrother, Calvin Hill; stepsisters, LaCassa Hill, Tunisha Bowman, LaTosha Stewart and Shelby Hill; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

To the family, The girls and I were truly sadden to hear of the passing of Marcus. He was a great guy and we will truly miss him. We have very fond memories of him and will cherish them always. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Marcus at his cousin's birthday party, and you would have thought we knew one another! He had the biggest smile and the sweetest spirit and ALWAYS had a kind word and a word of wisdom to share! What a lost but what a heavenly gain
