Obituary For Brian Jackson

The Governor of South Carolina advises to limit public gatherings to 50 guests or less to prevent the spread of COVID-19. A Private Graveside Service for Mr. Brian Willy "BG" Jackson will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at New Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, 3500 Hopewell Rd., Darlington, SC, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.

Mr. Brian Willy “B. G.” Jackson, the son of Robert Jackson and Cynthia Jackson was born on August 6, 1989 in Darlington County. He died Friday, July 31, 2020.

He attended Rosenwald Elementary School and furthered his education at Hartsville High School.

Brian’s favorite sports were basketball and football. He played recreational football for the team of Pepsi. He loved to handout with his friends under the tree, he called it his resting place.

At an early age, Brian was baptized at New Hopewell Baptist Church in Darlington, South Carolina.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Richardson, Fred Thomas, and Mary Jackson.

Survivors include two children, Breyon Jackson and Brianni Jackson; his parents, Robert and Cynthia Jackson; three siblings, Antonio Johnson, Robert Jackson, and Victoria (Darren) Gibson; three nieces, ZaKarie Boyd, Kaylee Gibson, Kaylee Gibson, Kamyrn Gibson; three nephews, Forrest Royal, Ontario Johnson, and Eric Johnson; his grandparents, Sammie Jackson and Geraldine Jackson; a special aunt, Cora Mae Pompey; his god-mother, Betty J. Smith; and a host of aunts; uncles; other close relatives; and friends.

Family visitation will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Spiritual Growth Ministry, 2538 Thousand Oaks Dr., Hartsville, SC. and Public Viewing 2:00 PM-6:00 PM.
