It makes perfect sense that he ended up in a profession that provided service to others. He was a blessing to all of us. LT! I'm sadden to know I can't call on you to help with projects around the office! I just recently talked you up saying Now if 107 was able he would have this up and finished in a flash! LOL... You were gifted by God and we all called you a Jack of all Trades, Master of many! To the family- I send my Love and gratitude for sharing him with us! Seek the words of comfort in Psalm 34:18 for it says "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit." LT. Brinkley will be tremendously missed by his GSU Police family! My condolences, Angelia Holley Jennings

A good lifelong friend. We went in different directions after high school, but whenever our paths crossed, he was always the same Leon. An outstanding and talented kid who grew up to be an outstanding and talented man. It speaks volumes about a person when they're remembered as one who never forgot where they came from, and never forgot the people that they started out with. Willie Johnson(Pearl High/ class of 1970).

We worked together as officers with the GSU Police Department. i'll always remember him as such a personable friendly down to earth individual. We had artistic talents in common. He gave me so much advice and encouragement that helped me grow as an artist. Soar with the angels, my friend. Carl Glisson.

To the Brinkley Family, Grief never ends..... But it changes. It's a passage not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith.... It is the price of Love. And thanks for sharing your father/husband as a true friend and exceptional co-worker of 30 plus years. He will be truly missed! Kiawana
