James Houston, Sr., age 77, of Mcdonough, Georgia entered into rest on July 29, 2020.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 1:00 PM in our Hattie G. Watkins Memorial Chapel 163 North Avenue Jonesboro, GA.

To my grandpa, we have so many memories together but to see you get to have a relationship with your great grand children are the best. They were always happy to see Grandpa. We went on this trip together as a family not knowing it would be your last one. We had so much fun and we have enjoyed every moment. The laughter we had that trip was unforgettable and we shall remember that forever.

To MY FAMILY of the late James Houston, Sr. Sorry I am not able to be with you today. I miss you all and you are in my prayers. I can remember the first time cousin Jimmy and Lou took me to New York as a teenager. I thought we would never get thru the Cheasapeake bring and I can remember we could not even stop and eat in the white restaurant so on the last stop the men in the car decided to try to stop and get food at the back door of the cafe. Well Lou and I don't know what happen but we didn't get to eat that night and we got out of the tunnel really guick. I said all that to say my cousin was a leader and he would try anything once. They showed me the ropes in New York and I was well versed because of him. Miss you from the bottom of my heart. Kay Berry Patterson
