Obituary For Corvius Dontrell Barclay

Graveside services for Mr. Corvius Dontrell Barclay, 41, will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Midway Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

Mr. Corvius Dontrell Barclay was born on Wednesday, May 9, 1979, to Angela Barclay and Ralph E. Castleberry in Talladega, Alabama.

Mr. Barclay united with Mt. Canaan Baptist Church at an early age and recently rededicated his life to Christ under the leadership of Apostle Miller Pearson, Jr. and Pastor Mary Pearson. Corvius received his education in the Talladega City Schools. He was employed with Filter Buy. In his spare time, Corvius enjoyed basketball, watching football, listening to music, spending time with his children and had a love for fashion. On November 4, 2011, Corvius and the former Stacey Caldwell were united in holy matrimony.

In the early hours of Monday, August 3, 2020, Corvius was called to his eternal rest. He was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Annie M. Castleberry and John A. Scales; and an aunt, Jan Foster.

Mr. Barclay leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Stacey Barclay of Pell City, Alabama; his parents, Angela (Trenton) Barclay-Hunter and Ralph E. Castleberry of Talladega, Alabama; grandmothers, Iva Barclay of Talladega, Alabama and Ella Sue Hunter of Childersburg, Alabama; two daughters, Tacorya Barclay and Alyssa Barclay of Talladega, Alabama; four sons, Daishawn Stockdale, Corvius Barclay, Jr., Corviun Barclay and Lakendaz Barclay of Talladega, Alabama; a stepson, Tyshun Caldwell of Talladega, Alabama; five sisters, Lanika (Lakendrick) Barclay-Millender, Shacara Powell, Kenetra Massingale and Shonta Wright of Talladega, Alabama and Zaay Morgan of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers, Nacobie (Tanesha Shears) Barclay of Talladega, Alabama and Terrell Lee of Lincoln, Alabama; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
