Obituary For Fannie Mae Burns

Fannie Mae Burns was born September 9, 1956 in Williamson County, Tennessee to the late John Robert, Sr. and Leola Burns. At a young age she was adopted by the late J.D. and Thelma Pendergrass. She was preceded in death by her brothers David and James Burns and Clarence Hardison. Fannie joined Liberty Temple Church under the leadership of Elder Conway where she attended until God called her home. Fannie had a great love for her family, church family and her friends and staff at the Claiborne & Hughes Skilled Nursing facility.

With pleasant memories to cherish, she leaves her devoted companion, Wade Fly; siblings, John Burns, Jr., Larry (Ninnie) Burns, Pearl Jones, Darlene Williams, Mildred Jennings and, Frank Burns; adopted siblings, Don Pendergrass, Michael Pendergrass, Harold Pendergrass, Marcus Pendergass, Aretha Pendergrass and Janita (William) Gleaves; aunts, Thelma Pendergrass, Bessie Jenkins, Marie Butler and Berthine Jordan; uncles, William Hatcher and Albert Hatcher; devoted niece, Eugenia Williams (Charles Osborne); devoted nephew, Jarvas “JJ” (Kiffany) Burns; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be no public viewing or funeral for Ms. Burns due to the COVID-19 Virus.

A Private Memorial Service will be held for Ms. Burns at a later date.
