Obituary For Tia LaShawn Jackson-Robinson

Tia LaShawn Jackson-Robinson was born on March 5, 1969 in Fort Pierce, Florida to Linda Jackson and Raymond Mills. Tia was a precious little girl with a bubbly personality. She attended local elementary schools and was a graduate of Fort Pierce Central High School, where she was an excellent student and cheerleader captain. Upon graduating from high school with honors in 1987, she entered Norfolk State University in Virginia where she majored in business administration. In 1990, Tia became a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Delta Epsilon Chapter.

Tia married her high school sweetheart, Michael Robinson. Two beautiful daughters were born to this union – Mashawna and Nahkia. They made their family home and many beautiful memories in Jacksonville, FL. Tia had a long, successful career as an insurance adjuster. Tia in her usual industrious fashion was also a Paparazzi jewelry entrepreneur. She was employed with Progressive Insurance Company until her demise.

Left to cherish Tia’s memory are her devoted husband, Michael, two loving daughters Mashawna and Nahkia of Jacksonville, FL, a granddaughter who was literally “stuck” to her, Crystal Ash; her mother, Linda (Almon) Jackson Lovett of Birmingham, Alabama, her father, Raymond Mills of Santa Clara, CA, sister Alleshia (Eddie) Jackson Wearing and their daughters, Alexa, Idellas, Bailey, and Isis of Rochester, New York; sister, LaRay (Christopher) Mills Lockhart of Huntsville, AL and their children, Leeya, Lauren, and Layla; brother Antonio Rashad (Joylyn)Brownlee of Jacksonville, FL and their children Janiyah, Jayden and Ayden; brother, Rayshon Mills of Gilroy, CA; uncles Alex Jackson Jr. of Viera, FL, Walter (Connie) Mills and Kenneth (Donna) Mills of Fort Pierce, FL; aunts Joyce Jackson, Betty Jackson Johnson, Lucille Jackson Cotton, Dorothy (Donald) Jackson, Shirley (Jesse) Jackson, Shirley (Bill) Adderly, and Frances Watson all of Fort Pierce / Port St. Lucie, FL; father and mother-in-law Jimmy and Doris Robinson; special cousin, Kelvin Davis; and a host of cousins, in-laws and beloved friends.

Tia LaShawn Jackson Robinson was an exceptional wife, daughter, mother, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She worked hard from the legal age of employment until she left this earth. Her sweet spirit left a lasting impression on all she encountered. Tia confessed that she loved the Lord and was obedient to His final word, “come home my sweet and gentle spirit -job well done.”

Public visitation for Tia Jackson Robinson will take place on Friday, August 7, 2020 by way of our drive-thru in the rear of Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm. My heart is heavy because I can't be at home for my cousin Tia and my Jackson families due to the virus; who would have thought that this would happen. The last time I saw and spoke with Tia at home in Ft. Pierce at Connie's funeral, she had her arm in a sling, and her comment to me was "It's alright". Tia grew up to be one classy lady, and I will miss her. Throughout her trials, her mother Linda was there by her side; job well done Linda, I know Tia loved you for it. Cpusin Peggy Jackson Coplin
