Guest Book

After reading all of these messages for my cousin Ronald I realize everyone felt the same way about him that we did. He always had a big smile and a hug for us and and sincere "How are you doing". We are a close loving family and we enjoyed being together. I can hear the laughter and feel the hugs that was everywhere. Whenever you lose a family member we are so sad and tears always come. I cry for our family who will miss him the most. But I know he is out of pain and is now a star looking down on us to let us know he is ok. Love and will miss you Cuz. Beverly

My fondest memories of Captain Bush were of me speaking to him as a kid on the phone whenever I called the office. Always a gentleman and very caring person. When I became an Officer he said he was very proud of me and taught me so much in the G.O. He was a great supervisor and mentor. May you rest in peace. Sincerely Wendy Camacho and Ms. DelValle

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to The Family of their Beloved Mr. Samuel Ronald Bush. A man who was my dear friend a Gentleman of a Gentleman, who I met in 1991 when he was a newly promoted Captain in the NYC Department of Correction and assigned to AMKC the facility where I was assigned as a Correction Officer. He couldn't correctly pronounce my last name,so he named and called me "Macaroni ". Although he was a new Captain, he already had 21 years on the job as a Correction Officer. He excelled and masterfully mastered in Legal Paperworks, Criminal Procedure Laws,Departmental Rules/Regulations/Policies etc. Always willing to teach and learn others. In January 2000 he retired with 30 years of NYC Service. I am truly lost for words, not enough space to say what a dear friend he was. I as his friend he would want me to let those of us still living to take of your business as he did. Our last conversation on July 8,2020 when he called me to let me know he wanted to go home to Augusta and as soon as he get off the phone he was going to call his brother. I said several prayers to him and stated you been a mighty good friend and that I would be calling him, well I did call leaving messages of prayers. Then I was told I hadn't heard from him because it was bad and he couldn't speak. I would like to say Thank You Mrs. Valerie Bush and The Entire Bush Family for sharing their Beloved with us."After the Rainbow had gone,it's so Sad Losing a Friend, But Memories are Lingering On". Rest in Eternal Peace my dear friend for Precious Memories lasts for a Eternity and you will never be Forgotten. In Loving Sympathy "Macaroni " Regenia Trevathan, Far Rockaway New York

I met Sam Bush in 1981 when I became an Officer at C76.As one of the first female officers entering a male jail, he welcomed us, willing to teach us everything we needed to know. Truly an officer and a gentleman in every way. He will be missed, but the memories will last Forever. He stood many DOC Roll Calls, but God said it was time for Sam Bush to stand his Roll Call in Paradise. Condolences go out to his family. May God give you Strength. Nadene Dunnavant

I had the privilege to work with Captain Bush in one of the most demanding professions on earth. Sam had a powerful purposeful presence. His quiet dignity served to defuse any difficult situation. I was his supervisor but in truth, Sam required no supervision; He was a true professional. Retired ADW Calvin Baker

Capt. Bush was always a gentleman. The way he treated people was a true testimony of how he was raised. I remember one day he was doing a meal relief for the C/R Captain and the Captain overstayed his time. The ADW was calling him to do the mid-tour count. When the Capt. returned Capt. Bush let him have it. When he finished cursing him out he looked at our faces and bust out laughing because we had never heard him talk like that and couldn't believe it. We were actually happy he told that person off. He said if he could get that look again he would gladly entertain us again. That was a priceless moment because we never heard him raise his voice like that again. This was a moment I will never forget. My condolences to you and the family. A gentleman has been laid to rest and May you all be kept during this time of trial. RIP Respectfully C.O. D. Frampton
