Douglas Lambert was born on December 9, 1935 to the late Squire and Lou Ellen Lambert in Quitman, GA.

He attended the Brooks County School System. In 1955, he married Ruth Lambert and they were blessed with one daughter.

Later in life Douglas moved away and made San Antonio, Texas his home away from home. Douglas was employed with R.L. Carrier Trucking for many years as a security guard.

In 2018, his health failed and in 2019 he moved back to Quitman with his daughter.

During Douglas's lifetime, he never met a stranger and made friends along the road.

Douglas leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Ruth Lambert. His daughter, Sharon Lambert Golden. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death, Charles Lambert, Charlie Wright, Sr., and Jo Carolyn Larkin. Three grandchildren, Portia Daniels, Tawanda Rose and Wallace Rose, Jr. Seven additional grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. One niece, Donna Dunbar. Two nephews, Keith Larkin and Stephen Lambert. Two good friends, Bernadine Brown and Armado Perez.
