Cousin Bellaria was a caring and loving person. I think that everyone in West Point knew her. Many became acquainted with her in the classroom, church and the community. One of my most lasting memories was when I stopped by over the holidays several years ago. She asked me if I wanted something to eat and she started bringing out food. Cousin Bellaria was a great cook. I probably gained 10 pounds that day. I would call from time to time and somehow she would always recognize my voice. In speaking with others there are many testimonies to her as an excellent cook, a dedicated educator, a committed citizen when it came to community service, a family oriented person but most of all she was a great person. The world is a better place because of her contributions. My heartfelt condolences to her family and love ones.

My favorite memory of you is when Alvin and I came to visit for the first time and you asked me to go with you to the grocery store WOW! what a trip that was. I had never been around anyone who purchased meat at one store miscellaneous groceries at another store, and bread at another store, I became exhausted just watching you move. Nevertheless, I am honored to have had you in my life, as a mother-in-law, and as a friend, Love you dearly.
