Obituary For Mr. Curtis Clayton

Mr. Curtis Clayton 60, of Vienna GA entered into eternal rest on Friday August 7, 2020.

Graveside Services for Mr.Curtis Clayton 60, of Vienna GA will be Saturday August 22, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. by immediate family only at the Evergreen Cemetery Unadilla, Georgia .Public Visitation will be held Friday August 21 from 3-6 p.m.

Mr. Curtis Clayton was born on March 28, 1960, in Pinehurst, Georgia. Curtis was the beloved son of Mr. Willie B. and Mrs. Eva Mae Laidler Clayton. He was called home peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia. Curtis accepted Christ as his Lord and savior at Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Lily, Georgia. Curtis attended Dooly County Public Schools in Vienna, Georgia. He graduated with the class of 1979 from Vienna High School, home of the Vikings. Curtis loved bodywork and detailing cars, whereas he worked at a car dealership in Kansas City, Missouri. After 36 long years, he retired from a job he loved doing. On March 23, 1993, Mr. Curtis Clayton was joined in holy matrimony to Angie Obenshain in Kansas City, Missouri. The beloved couple were married for 18 years. Curtis Clayton was preceded in death by his father, Willie B; and his mother, Eva Mae Laidler Clayton; and his siblings, Johnnie Mae Freeman, Marzeal Washington, Joan Lester, Bobby Jean Lester, Martha Clark, Gloria Clayton, James Clayton, Sylvester Clayton, and Harry Clayton. Left to cherish his memories are: his wife, Angie Clayton of Kansas City, Missouri; four daughters, NaieKatae Clayton, LaidKatae Clayton, Lascey Clayton, and Sarah Watson; three sons, Lantario Clayton, Daniel Clayton, and Matthew Russell; five granddaughters; seven grandsons; brother-in-law, Tommy Lester of Hawkinsville, Georgia; several devoted nieces, Sheila Felder, Stacey (Willie) Brown, Casey (Gustavious) Williams, Caronica (Tony) Clayton, Kelly Lewis, Krystal Clayton, Joanna Felder, Joanne Felder, and Antannesha; special friend, Bobby Jean Lester; several devoted nephews, Tony Clayton, Scotty Freeman, Earl Clayton, John Wiggins, Kizzy Clark, and Gustavious Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends who may not be listed here, but are forever in his heart.
