Obituary For Roland Ray "Bo" Maynard

MR. ROLAND RAY “BO” MAYNARD, Age 65 - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020. He was born on June 1, 1955 to the late Levi Maynard, Sr. and Margarie Bonds Maynard McMeans. He was also preceded by his brothers, Charles Maynard, Levi Maynard, Jr., and Umar Abdul Rahman (Roy Harris). He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, worked at various textiles and carpet mills, and he enjoyed fishing and cars. Survivors are his loving daughter, Brittany Baker; grandson, Tyrell Baker; sisters, Peggy Maynard, Gloria (Gregory) Newkirk, and Greta Vinson; brothers, Ollie Harris, Jr, Arthur Harris, and Anthony Harris; uncle, Willis Baker; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Service will be on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Chapel with Pastor Detria Smith as Eulogist and Dr. Jerry Jones, Presider. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 12:00 noon. Interment, West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
