As a young man he relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he became an educator and business man. It was also during this time where he found the love of his life, Leveorn "Beverly" Burt. They united in Holy Matrimony on January 1, 1961. To this union two children were born, Trenee and Terrell.
Nate began his search for beauty in people and images which led him to his profession as owner of Nate Edwards Photography which was one of the first black photography studios in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also found the love in serving his community as an educator. As a teacher for more than 30 years, he helped to educate many students from Wisconsin to Mississippi.
Nate completed his educational studies from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an Applied Science degree in Photography. He later attended Cardinal Stritch University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
Nate's passion for music and serving in the ministry has opened many doors for him in the capacity of choir director, facilitator, vocal coaching and minister of music. His extensive work in music spanned throughout the United States and abroad. He has provided these services for nearly 40 choirs and groups throughout his life time.
