Obituary For Wille Hunter

Willie Mae Hunter age 95 of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Atrium Health, Lincolnton, North Carolina She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on May 29, 1925 to the late LeRoy Hill and Emma Ross Hill, In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnson B. Hunter and two children, Ulysses Hunter and Sheila Hunter Finger. She was a member of Tucker’s Grove United Methodist Church and retired from J.P. Stevens.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. in White’s Family Chapel at Ebony & White’s Funeral Service with burial to follow at Tuckers Grove United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. The body may be viewed at Ebony & White’s on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Due to COVID-19 everyone is asked to wear masks.

She is survived by five children, Johnson B. Hunter, Jr. (Judy) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Billy Hunter (Nelda) of Raleigh, NC, Larry Hunter (Marion), Michael Hunter all of Lincolnton, NC, Robin Anderson of Rutherfordton, NC, three sisters, Essie Hill Foster of Lincolnton, NC, Mary Alice Jones of Silver Spring, Maryland, Frances McKee Huff of Temple Hills, Maryland, eleven grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Nellie Hunter Lofton.
