Obituary For Diane Hamilton Wright

The late Mrs. Diane Hamilton Wright of 704 N. Livingston Street, Sylvester, Georgia, departed this life on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin,Georgia.

A private ceremony for the family will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., from the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia, with the Reverend Marcus Stroud, officiating. Services will be streamed Facebook Live from the "Shipps Funeral Home " Facebook page.

Mrs. Diane Hamilton Wright was born to Mrs. Earline Hamilton and the late Mr. Roosevelt Williams on July 7, 1960 in Sylvester, Worth County, Georgia.

Diane was educated in the Worth County Public School System and graduated from Worth County High School in 1978.

At an early age, Diane gave her life to Christ and became a member of Brooks Chapel First African Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia.

She was employed at Olam Edible Nuts in Sylvester, Georgia. Diane enjoyed dancing, singing, being with family, and fishing. She was always the life of the party.

Our Loved One gave up this busy walk of life on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital in Griffin, Georgia. Her father preceded in death.

Diane leaves to carry on her legacy her mother, Earline Hamilton of Sylvester, Georgia; a daughter, Shameaka Hamilton of Sylvester, Georgia; two grandchildren, Kentrell Cross and K'mia Cross, both of Sylvester, Georgia; sisters, Patricia Hooks, Brenda (Harold) Proctor, Lillie (J. W.) Bentley, Patricia (Johnny) Jefferson, all of Sylvester, Georgia, Bobbie (Thomas) Dumas of Albany, Georgia, Yvette (Edward) Moate of Sumner, Georgia, Selena (Solomon) Iiesanmi of Atlanta, Georgia, Latasha Williams of Virginia; brothers, Willie Lee (Nina) White, David (Brenda) Hamilton, Tracy (Tijuana) Hamilton, Michael Williams, all of Sylvester, Georgia, Tommy Hamilton, Fredrick (Brenda) Hamilton, both of Albany, Georgia, Roosevelt (Irene) Williams, Jr. of Tifton, Georgia; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; a dear friend/sister, Sherry Dison; a niece/sister/best friend, Tangelneka Wynn; and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
