Obituary For Mr. Donald Earl Greene

In the quiet stillness of the early morning hours, Donald Earl Greene, son of Margaret Shaw Greene and Samuel Greene, bid this world farewell for a more serene sphere. Donald's spirit soared on Thursday, August 13th in the Hilton Head Hospital. A resident of Yemassee, Donald Earl, 61, was a truckdriver in the logging industry and had served as an officer with the SC Department of Corrections. He was the endearing father of Syreeta and Donald Earl, Jr. and the loving brother of Sandra and Lorraine. A lifelong member of the Pilgrimford Missionary Baptist Church of the Applied Word Ministry, he was a gifted guitarist in the music ministry.

The hours of visitation will be on Monday, August 17th, 1-8 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home. Services Honoring His Life will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, 11:00 am in the Jackson Cemetery, Yemassee Hwy, Yemassee, SC.

Mask and social distancing will be adhered to in all services.

We ask that you lift our family in prayer that they be divinely strengthened by God's Amazing Grace.

This morning on my way to work, I looked over towards your home. I shook my head, because I still can't belief you have transitioned. I was so grateful we got to talk and laugh in May for more than an hour. Yes, it had been years, since we had seen each other. Uncle Sam, Aunt Margaret, Sandra, and Rainey! I am praying that God gives all you the strength during this difficult time. Prayerfully, Evangelist Marcella Fennell-Kinard
