Lydia Anne Haley,77, of Beaufort, North Carolina died Friday, August 14, 2020 at her residence.

Lydia was the first Afro American baby born a the Morehead City, NC Hospital to Alex Haley and Nannie Branch Haley.

She is survived by her son, Michael Rodney Baker of Beaufort, North Carolina; 3 grandchildren, Cedric Chapman, Logan Baker and Angelika Baker; sister, Cynthia Dunn, Atlanta, GA and a host of devoted cousins including Guy Copes of Beaufort and Barney Sutton.
