Lula McGee Wilson

Lula McGee Wilson was born to the late Ethel Jones and John H. McGee, Sr. on June 19, 1948 in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was a lifelong residence of Fort Pierce, Florida. She was united in holy matrimony on May 20, 1969 to the late Billy Wilson. In early 1973, She meet James Grey, Sr. and to this union God blessed them with two children.

She attended Saint Lucie County Public School System. Lula always wanted to ensure that her children were well taken care of and that she was always there for them. She remained a homemaker for her family. Her love for children carried on, where she began a private family childcare service in her home. She cared for many children throughout the years until her health began to fail. She resided at Abbie Jean Russell Care Center for the past six years where she received her basic care needs with the assistance of her sister and caregiver Ethel McGee-Green.

She was a member of New Beginning Christian Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Frank Jones where she continued to serve as a member through their outreach ministry team traveling to Abbie Jean Russell Care Center until her demise.

On August 16, 2020, Lula slipped away peacefully from this early life to be present with the Lord. She is proceeded in death by her parents, daughter; Portia Grey, her brother; John H. McGee, Jr, sisters; Mattie Pearl McGee and Evelyn Myles.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a son; (SSFC) James (Tarodal ) Grey, Jr. of Geismer, Louisiana, three grandchildren; Misteri Sanders, Joshua Jackson and Preston West, one great-granddaughter; Jordyn Jackson . Two Sister; Ethel McGee-Green of Fort Pierce, Florida and Barbara (Nathaniel) Davis of Boynton Beach, Florida. five loving nieces; Nicole, Metricia, Beverly and Joanna McGee and Beverly Stokes of Fort Pierce, Florida Two Nephews; Rue Lane (Katrina) McGee and Albert McGee of Fort Pierce, Florida. Two Great-Nieces: (SSGT) Kesha McGee of San Antonio, TX and Shenequia Spann of Tampa, FL. God-daughter; Maria Williams of Cocoa, Florida and a host other relatives and friends

Funeral services will convene on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:00am at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL.
