Obituary For Dave Lucas

Mr. Dave Lucas, age 83 passed on Saturday, August 15, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born April 11, 1937 in Hamilton, Georgia , he was the son of the late Mr. Will Lucas & Bertha (Davis) Lucas.

Dave loved his family, playing Connect Four, sewing and the finished product of the construction projects he was a part of. Dave was a 1958 graduate of Carver High School in Hamilton, GA.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters: Mattie Bell Copeland and Earlenia Lucas Pierce; four brothers: Lewis Lucas, Willie Lee Lucas, Arthur Lucas and Johnny Lucas; two nieces: Alma Pierce Neal and Bertha Denise Pierce; and two nephews: Morris Pierce and Milton Pierce.

His memories will be cherished by a wife: Bonnie Jean Lucas; one daughter: Edith Lucas; granddaughters: Keshia Thomas and Mikalla Thomas; great-grandchildren: Kinston Blunt and Eden Thomas Goode; two sisters: Geneva Soloman and Rebecca Copeland; one devoted niece: Bernida D. Pierce; one great niece: D’Andrea Pierce; four great nephews: Dwyane S. Pierce, Derrick Heard, Raymond Hollis Jr., and Terrance Hollis; two great-great niece: Jamaria D. Kirkpatrick & Kinsley N. Hollis; relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2020 at Terry Family Funeral Home-Hamilton 2PM-6PM.

The family will hold a small (30 maximum) funeral service at Terry Family Funeral Home 145 North College Street Hamilton, GA 31811 on August 22, 2020 @ 1PM. Face covering required and social distancing will be enforced.
