Sallie was a second mother to me and I loved her as if she really gave birth to me and that's how she treated me. She introduced me to her family and friends as her daughter she took me into her home when God sent me to Shelby to preach the gospel we did not know each other when she took me in but we eventually began to love each other and she was Mom to me since 2005. She trusted me to live in her home and I was a stranger she left her 2 grandchildren in my care while she worked the night shift in the first week of being there. My home was in Georgia 8 hours from Shelby but I never missed home because of the love that Sallie Leach bestowed upon me. Sallie was very special she was an loving angel and this world is now filled with a void because she is no longer here. She will be greatly missed. There is now a place of great pain in my heart because I can't pick up the phone and call my Mom and talk to her anymore. Know that I loved her as much as you all did and eventhough she is gone the love that was birth through a relationship with her will always be with me. God Bless

Every moment with my Aunt Sallie was memorial. She was the best Godmother anyone could ever have in their lifetime. Regardless of the many miles between us, she was ALWAYS there for me to offer love, advice and support. Her no nonsense attitude will always be embedded in my memory. She kept it real and I respect her so much for it. I will always strive to be more like her in regards to life. She will continue to be one of the best role models for me and her great-goddaughter to admire! Aunt Sallie, I will miss you dearly, but I know I will see you again! My deepest condolences Eugene, Kadedra and the rest of the family. Love Ava Michelle & Eve-Marie.

I'm lost for words right now. Words can't express how I'm feeling right now. I'm so glad I was able to spend quality time with Ms Sallie 2 weeks ago. We talked about how I wanted her to get better. We talked about going to dinner. We shared some many fond memories together. Ms Sallie was my bonus MOTHER. I remember the conversation we had about being a grandmother. She told me everything was going to be okay. And it was. She was right there when I needed a shoulder to lean on. I remember getting a phone call while on vacation my brother passed. I called Ms. Sallie with the sad news. She told me she would meet me at my house. And she prayed with me , while I was on the highway coming home. I lost my father, and 5 Aunt's she was right there with me. She was never to busy when I would call her. I'm going to miss EVERYTHING we did together. I'm going to miss our conversation we had. I love Ms. Sallie so much Sending my sincere condolences to the family during these difficult hours. Praying for your strength & comfort. Love always her other Daughter.

Prayers and condolences to the family. I remember Sallie most from her hair dressing days. But I had the most fortunate opportunities to sit with her during quartet singings when my husband and Ray was on the five star singing group of Shelby. We will miss you Sallie. Ambra H Woods

There are no words to express the passing of Ms. Leach. She was funny and forward with whatever she had to say. I will think of her mostly when she done the hair of my relatives. She was pure dynamite and she will be missed. -- Nan Glover Johnson and Family
