OBITUARY:

Rosie (Rosetta) Barrett, Our beloved angel, was born to the parentage of Rosie Lee and George Brown on January 13, 1946, in Cleveland, MS. She departed this life on August 20, 2020 in Clarksdale, MS at the Northwest Mississippi Medical Center.

In her early years, she attended Mount Sinai School in Tchula, MS. As she realized the need for Christ at a young age, she joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in Tchula, MS, where she served as a dedicated and long-standing member.

Although her life included many interests, cooking, baking, spending quality time with family and serving as a member on the decorating committee of her church topped the list.

Both her father George Brown, and longtime companion, Rufus Roach, preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are: her mother, Rosie Lee Young of Tchula, MS; four sons, Johnny (Amanda) Barrett of Rockford, IL, Micheal Barrett of Des Moines, IA, Rufus (Chentail) Barrett of Atlanta, GA, Roger Barrett of St Louis, MO, and a grandson, Raphael Barrett of St. Louis, MO, and a grandson, Raphael Barrett of Tchula, MS, whom she raised as her own; three daughters, Debora Barrett of Dallas, GA, LaTonya Barrett of Marietta, GA and Twina Barrett of Rockford, IL, along with one honorary daughter, Constance Head, Tchula, MS; one brother, Robert Lee Brown of Detroit, MI; thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
