Obituary For Michael Brice

Michael Douglas Brice was born on April 12, 1951 in Gastonia, North Carolina and entered his eternal rest on Sunday; August 23, 2020 at the age of 69 and surrounded by his loving family.

Affectionately known as “Mike,” he was the second child of Moses and Katherine Brice. He was educated in the Gaston County School System and worked in manufacturing plants. He was a loving and kind person that loved his family and never met a strangers. His hobbies were fishing, dancing, singing and just keeping a positive spirit and smile on people’s face. He was very hilarious and smooth with the Lady’s. He was just an all around guy.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father: Moses and Katherine Brice, brother: George Brice, maternal grandparents: Henry and Rachel Pitts and paternal grandparents: Rev. Samuel and Betsy Brice.

He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy to his three daughters: Thomasina Cheek (Curtis), Jara Ellis (Jonathan) both Gastonia, NC and Jillian Sandhu (Gurpreet) of Winterville, NC; one son: Michael Watson (Tiffany) of Charlotte, NC; two step daughters: Ellenthia and Shanriqua Henderson of Gastonia, NC; two brothers: Moses Brice (Mary), Larry Brice (Lisa); three sisters: Rev. Dr. Ruby Hope (Rev. James), Vera Watkins (King, II), Barbara Brice all of Gastonia, NC; one aunt: Ruby Davis of Gastonia, NC; one uncle: Jimmy Brice of Gastonia, NC; eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, special friend: Mary Frances Carroll, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Walk thru viewing: Friday; August 28, 2020 at the funeral home from 4 until 7

Memorial service on Sunday; August 30, 2020: 1:00 p.m. at the home of Barbara Brice-3630 Robinson Circle, Gastonia
