Celebration of Life for Billye Rose Askin will begin Friday, September 4, 2020 with her public visitation starting at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home . Her funeral service will held Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Goolsby Mortuary, Inc., located at 1375 Jonesboro Road SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. Interment for Mrs. Askin will take place at Lincoln Cemetery located 2275 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30314 following the funeral service. To Deacon James Atkins and Family, Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. And also to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Your dearly beloved one is in the bosom of Jesus resting. She got her beautiful wings on August 30. There is nothing but joy in that land. She is walking around Heaven with her love one that preceded her death. She is praising her creator. My family and I will continue to keep your Family uplifted in prayer for strength. To Francis, James and Family, My heart was sad when I learn of Ms. Askin's transition from this world to be with the Lord. I cannot expect to get a better neighbor than she was to me. She lived well, loved hard, and satisfied her earthly duty to God, family, and the church. Although it hurts to lose her from out walk, she is in a place where there is no old age, sickness, or heart ache. In my mind, I can hear Jesus saying well done to her.
