Obituary For Anthony Green

Farewell to Thee! But not farewell To all my fondest thoughts of Thee; Within my heart they still shall dwell And they shall cheer and comfort me.

Mr. Anthony Green of Warren County, North Carolina departed this life on Monday, September 1, 2020 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services in Warrenton, North Carolina. Elder John O. Green will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church cemetery in Macon, North Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Tanya D. Green of Littleton NC, one daughter Tia D. Green of Norlina NC, one son Tremayne Davis of Littleton NC, one granddaughter My’Tica Green, always called by him “grandma” who could never do any wrong in Pa Pa’s eyesight even when he is looking at her doing wrong. His favorite saying for his grandbaby was “don’t you hit that girl”, his mother Addie P. Green of Warrenton NC, four brothers, Melvin L. Palmer (Belinda), of Warrenton, Elder John O. Green, Keith M. Green (Teresa) both of Henderson, and Wason J. Green of Warrenton, five uncles, Kenneth Green (Barbara), Jurel Green (Ann), Calvin Green (Pat) Walter Green (Linda) all of Paterson, NJ and Alphonso Green (Sadie) of Delaware, five aunts, Clara Green, Connie Green, Josephine Green, Diane Palmer and Jane Richardson (Willie), all of Warrenton NC, two brother in laws and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and others that were special to Anthony.

The body will be on view at the funeral home Saturday, September 5, 2020 starting at 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
