She was born in Monticello, Mississippi, daughter of the late Verious and Josie (Armstrong) Lewis; retired from PA Dept. of Revenue with 35 years of service; a former member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Pulpit Guild, Nursery, Assistant Sunday School and Youth Church Teacher and the Food Bank; presently a faithful member of Baptist Fellowship Church; Past Worthy Matron of Esther Chapter No. 1 O. E. S., Past Loyal Lady Ruler, Golden Circle of Harrisburg Assembly #50, Charter Member and Past Most Ancient Loyal Matron of Rahab Court #36 and Daughter of Isis, Himyar Court #97. Sarah leaves to celebrate her life, her children, Henry W. Lewis, Jr. of Charleston, WV; Deborah Lewis; Deacon Barry B. Lewis and DeShawn Lewis, all of Harrisburg; her only living brother, Joseph P. Lewis (Lynelle) of Oakland, CA; her four grandchildren; her five great grands and a host of other relatives and friends. Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church at 212 N. Progress Ave. with viewing 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
