Obituary For Mrs. Betty Eubanks

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Betty Eubanks. Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 11:00 am at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday September 17, 2020 12:00 until 4:00 pm. Betty Eubanks was born on October 27, 1948 to Willie Lee Robinson and Eva Lou Carlyle Robinson in Cocoa, Florida and attended Zion Orthodox Primitive Baptist Church. Betty attended Monroe High School and went on to live in Sanford, Florida, marrying Goldie Eubanks Jr. In 1975, Betty relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. She pursued a career in retail management and finance for over 20 years. Betty dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Betty thrived on nurturing her family and members of the community. She never met a stranger, supporting those that sought her guidance and love through the many turns of life. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others. Betty was a passionate about fashion, traveling, spectator sports, cruising, and cooking when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness. We will miss her greatly. Betty is survived by her children Goldie Eubanks III (deceased), Roderick Eubanks, Gerald Eubanks, and Bettina Dennis; grandchildren, Corey Eubanks, Goldie Eubanks IV, Khalifa Eubanks, Eboni Eubanks, Roderick Eubanks Jr., Geyln Eubanks, Gerjuan Eubanks, Lauren Eubanks, Jeremiah Eubanks, Nya Eubanks; great-grandchildren, Poet Eubanks and Riley Eubanks; daughters-inlaw, Gyllian Eubanks and Neco Eubanks; husband, Omar Castaneda; siblings, Lula Mae Walker (deceased), Thomas Robinson, Georgia Fickens, JoAnn Jones, Lina Parker (deceased), Minister Patricia Battle, and Larry Robinson; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. My most fond memory of Mrs. Betty was her infectious kind words of encouragement. She always knew what to say to make it all better. She and I worked together many years ago and I could always depend on her. She is one of the reasons I dated my now husband. We love you Miss Betty. Collene and Jimmie Dukes
