~ The Obituary ~

Mr. Willie Talifera Thomas, Jr. was born on February 25, 1944 in Quitman, Georgia. Mr. Thomas attended the public schools in Quitman, Georgia and graduated from the Washington Street High School in Quitman. Mr. Thomas departed this life on the 28th of August, year 2020.

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John H. Thomas.

Mr. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories, four sisters, Emma Wilson (James) of Willingboro, NJ, Mamie Jackson of Freehold, NJ, Carnettie B. Thomas-Burroughs of Quitman, GA, Mary Corum (Tyrone) of Clinton, MD; three brothers, Israel Thomas of Lake Park, GA, Richard Thomas of Valdosta, GA, Clarence Thomas (Diane) of Quitman, GA; one aunt, Mary Lee Jones; he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 1PM. Visitation will be Friday at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 5PM-7PM. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration.
