Kary O’Neil Welch, 46, of Madison,NC died Friday, September 4, 2020. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Perry Spencer Home, Madison, NC. The family will be having a Private Service.

Kary "Bay" was the first born to the late Granville Dalton and Loretta Welch on March 10, 1974. He transitioned this life on Friday, September 4, 2020 at his home in Madison, NC, with his wife by his side. Kary was self-employed, was a jack of all trades and took pride in his work. He never met a stranger, was loved by all who knew him and always left a lasting impression with whomever he met. Kary grew up in Stokes County where he met and married his wife of 21 years. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife; Yolanda Scales Welch, daughter; Taylor Welch, son; Tajh Scales, granddaughter; Alana Scales, sister; Lavonda Welch, nieces; Kayla Simpson, Ikia Smith, Tierra Street, Tamaya Broadnax, Brianna Wilson, nephews; Kaleb Welch, sister-in-law; Tiffany Wilson (Brian), aunts; Shirley Mitchell, Teresa Richardson (Charles), Linda Manns, Sara Welch, uncles; Reginald Martin (Barbara Jean), Vaul Martin (Carlotta), Clyde Price (Chrisine), David Charles Welch (Carlotta), Julius Welch (Mary) and a host of family and friends.

Prayers for all of you. And for our family because Bay was a big part of our family as well. He and Shannon where close like brothers. He's gone way to soon. And our hearts are broken. Anyone that knew him knows he had a heart of gold and loved his family and friends. RIP BAY WE LOVE AND MISS YOU!

Had Kary in kindergarten at Pine Hall Elementary. He was such a special person. Praying for all.

I've know Kary since I was a child. He was a great person. I have never known anything but goodness, kindness, friendship, and family when I think of him. I am sending prayers to his Entire family. Yulonda,Trey, Taylor, and Lavonda and not just just at this moment. Know that you are loved.

Never heard him say a bad word about anybody. Life long family friend him and his beautiful sister. Kary is now his mother and father looking down on us all. Rest in peace sweet guy. My condolences to his family his beautiful sister. Gone way too soon. He will live on in our hearts forever. Always kind always a smile on his face.
