Sister Cathy Elizabeth Robinson was born on September 18, 1962 in Hartsville, South Carolina. She was the loving daughter of the late Calvin Lee Jackson and the lovely Elizabeth Robinson.

She received her education in the Public Schools of Darlington County, where she graduated from Butler High School. She began her life of serving others and worked at McCoy’s Nursing Home for over 20 years.

On Saturday, September 5, 2020, our dear sister answered the call from her Heavenly Father and slipped away from this earthy realm at McLeod Regional Medical Center In Florence, South Carolina.

Cathy was the backbone of the family. She always had a smile on her face, made room for everyone, was the family cook and took care of so many people. May those that loved her dearly be reminded that she is free from all pain and troubles of this world and she is at peace. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Lee Jackson, her brother Lavender Robinson her sister Bernice McCrea and stepson Michael Jefferson.

Cathy left to cherish her loving memories: her mother, Elizabeth Robinson, Hartsville, South Carolina; her four lovely daughters, Rantaisha Robinson (U.S Army), Jessica Robinson, Crystal Robinson and Ashley Robinson all of Hartsville, South Carolina; her sisters, Sandra Robinson, Yolanda Robinson, Pansy Brown, Cynthia Robinson, Nadine Robinson, Dorothy Samuels, Charlene Jackson, Teresa Jackson, Toya Brunson, Teresa Johnson, Thelma McCrea, Oliva McCrea (all of Hartsville, South Carolina and Keisha Fields of Florida; her brothers, Kenneth Levi Jackson (Baltimore, MD), Michael Jackson, Curtis Scott, Howard McCrea, Jr and Calvin Jackson, Jr.; her for darling four grandkids, Jaylen McPhail, Kington Gilbert, Kennedi Gilbert and Deandrea Kelly; a special friend and long-time companion, Marvin Knots; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and other close relatives; and friends.

Family visitation will be held 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, September 11, 2020 at Mount Olive Word of Life Church, 812 South Sixth Street, Hartsville, South Carolina. Please keep the family of Cathy Robinson in your thoughts and prayers.

My sincere condolences to the family of Cathy Robinson. I know your loss is great but her memories and kindness shown will be with you forever in your hearts and minds. I especially extend my thoughts and prayers to her children. I remember you from WSES. Your mother was so supportive to your education and reached out to support it. I experience that while employed with DCSD as guidance counselor. Again, sincere prayers for you as you experience the loss of Cathy.
