My grandpa was one of the best father figures I could ever have. From the time when I was younger I would jump on his bed and always asked for a cup of koolaid and he always made sure I had a cup. I knew right then that he was my favorite. I love you grandpa.

Uncle Harry was a honest and sincere person. He was the closest thing to a father I had. I knew when I saw him we would share a memory and a laugh. He will truly be missed. He was very nice and humble. He always listened to what you said if you were talking to him. And if you asked him a question he would always answer you. Love, Nashona and Tateeyachta Alston

Harry was a wonderful man. I met him late in life at Tai Chi when we were both trying to reclaim some youthfulness. Outside of Tai Chi we had many great conversations. I always enjoyed our conversations particularly when it came to sports. We shared an interest in sports, particularly football. He shared stories of his time in the military and of his family. I hope someday to follow him into heaven as that's where he'll surely be. God bless him.
