Kathy I am a a loss for words at the passing of a special friend who cared deeply for those he loved and was always able to bring a smile to anyone's face when he would laugh as only he could. He always showed he cared and backed up his caring with action. I consider myself fortunate to have known you both,,,,,,fly high with the angels until we meet again. With love Jerry Doutrich

My Dear Friend Kathy, My heart breaks for you. You and I had so many talks about your husband and how he was such a country boy who loved the cute little chihuahua next door and was looking into getting one himself recently. You spoke so fondly about your husband each time that we got a chance to talk. It was apparent that he meant the world to you. It is amazing that you two were together for such a long time, and yet you spoke about him as if you two were newlyweds. I know you both shared so much love and so much laughter in your times together. I know how much you both deeply loved one another (and not to mention, his love for your cooking). I hope that knowing how much you meant to him brings a smile to your face. I know he was your entire world also. I wish you were close so that I could give you a big hug and comfort you during this most difficult time, but I am grateful you have your family and his family near. Please know I am thinking of you and praying for healing. Love you Kathy - Stephanie Bhagwandin

Uncle Irv...Your an amazing man. I will miss you and your hilarious stories ,your whitty comebacks and you sitting next to the grill. Your were an example to others and I love the way you took my sons under your wing and gave them unconditional love like they were your own family. His smile was contagious and uplifted others..Kathy no words can take away your pain, but just know God is with you and he makes no mistakes. Love you dearly, we will get through this. #BriskerStrong

Hey Kat, when you & Irv walked in the room everyone smiled. We'd jump up to get those big hugs from both of you. Ya'll fill a room with joy & laughter. Family trips were filled with good food, good talks about gardening, religion & how good God is, the kids growing up so fast, etc. Life will never be the same but Irv will always be a bright shining star in our lives. We have something to look forward to & that's seeing him & Dad on the other side one day. In the meantime, we'll give you double hugs ok? =) We love you so much!!! Keep your head up. Love, Aunt Pernell & Uncle Ron

Aunt Kathy, we loved Uncle Irv so much! He was our gentle giant and we shared so many memories, stretching back to before the births of 3 of my 4 children... a long, good while. We thank him for taking care of your heart and for being a great family member. We wish we had more time. We find comfort in knowing for sure he made it home and is enjoying his peace in the arms of the Lord. Our prayers and love remain with you and his beautiful children and grandchildren and our collective families. With so much love and grief, Ashon Avent, Dannika Avent, Sydney, Myles, Auston and Grayson

My first encounter with Uncle Irv was at a family reunion. He yelled "Hey mini me!" And has called me that ever since. He was the kindest man and made the strongest coffee I had lol. I have nothing but great memories of him especially when he made frog legs for thanksgiving! To my aunt and all his family I pray for healing. He will truly be missed and I am blessed to have known him - Chanel Kornegay-Wise

Kathy, Our hearts breaks for you, David and I miss Irvin terribly. So many memories of 12 years working together, and future dreams erased. Hard to understand our Lords ways sometimes. If Irvin was here, He would be explaining that to me right now. We spoke of our dependence on our Lord often, Irvin was a man of God ( in spite of all his "evil ways" ) I know He walks with Jesus, I know he is in the most amazing garden. Always loved, forever missed, my friend.

Kathy, our condolences to you and to your family. Marshall, Jamale and I are praying for you and your family for strength, comfort and healing during your time of bereavement. My fondest memory of Irv is standing as your witness in High Point Magistrates office and watching the both of you confess the love that you have for each other. That was my proudest moment as a friend to both of you. Kathy, I am sorry that I cannot be there to hug you and to lend you my shoulder to cry on, but you know that I got you, through thick and thin. You are my sister always. I am praying for you and Irv's family at this time. Psalms 23 and John 14 Vs 1-4 always comforted me and I hope it will comfort you. Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going." With Much Love, your sister and family in Greensboro, Liz, Marshall and Jamale Watson
