Obituary For Jamie Davis

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., Westhaven Funeral Home, 3580 Robinson Street, Jackson, MS 39209.

Jamie Davis was born on November 5, 1962, in Jackson, Mississippi to Doris Ward and Bobby Ward. He was the third of six children. Jamie graduated from Callaway High School in 1981. He confessed his love for Christ at an early age. He was baptized at St. Matthew M.B. Church, Jackson, MS and served as a faithful member until his health began to fail. Before his health failed his hobby was washing and detailing cars. Jamie was preceded in death by his son Kentari Harper, brother Dana Ward, nephew Bobby Ward and great grandparents Thelma Wilder, Johnnie Ward, and Ella Rea Ward. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter: Carmelita Smoot; granddaughter: Cambria Smoot; mother: Doris Ward; father: Bobby Ward; brother: Larry (Bobbie) Davis; sisters: Erma Davis, Jo Ward and Gloria (Robert) Brewer; daughter-in-law: Quarquerito (Faye) Lowe; special friends: Darlene Aterberry, Michael Thomas and Rodney Levy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
