Demetrius Jones,47, of Charlotte, NC died Sunday, September 13, 2020 at his home.

Viewing hours are 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at St. Stephen M. B. Church 1156 Janiero Road, Oriental followed by the interment. The service may be viewed on Oscars Facebook Page.

He is survived by his mother, Jennie Smith of New Bern; father, Reverend Larry Ponds, Sr., Greensboro, NC; four brothers, Paul Ponds and Larry Ponds, Jr. both of Greensboro, Patrick Coffey, Greenville and Kelvin Coffey, Brooklyn, NY; three sisters, Alicia Ponds and Melissa Ponds both of Bayboro and Habiba Burley of New Bern.

Masks are required. Chairs are limited. Please bring a chair, umbrella and water.
