Obituary For Nina Genola Banks Goode

I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

Nina Genola Banks Goode, of 1817 Wise Five Forks Road in Macon, North Carolina was born December 8, 1929 to Simon and Myrtice Harris Banks. She departed this life on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at her residence.

She was educated in the Warren County Public schools, graduating from Warren County Training School in 1947. After graduating high school, she attended North Carolina Central University graduating in 1989.

Nina married the love of her life, William Martin Goode and to this union four children were born: Myra, Brenda, Pamela, and Martina. She held employment over the years with John Umstead as a Health Care Aid, Halifax County Mental Health as a Case Manager, Warren Family Institute as a Case Manager, and lastly at Warren County Senior Center as a Patient Care Coordinator.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her loving daughters, Myra Goode of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Brenda Brothers (Marshall) of Macon, North Carolina, Pamela Alston (Jess) of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Martina Goode Williams of Norlina, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Hollis Perry, Yvonne Perry, Demetria Goode, Kwame Alston, Jessica Alston, Jalen Williams, and John Williams; five great grandchildren, Jamiel Perry, Hayden Perry, Kiara Alston, Skylar Alston, and Roger Alston; and one great great grandchild, Faith Perry.

Nina Genola Banks Goode will be on view at the funeral home on Friday, September 18, 2020 starting at 12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Service in Warrenton, North Carolina.

On Saturday, September 19, 2020 the family along with friends will be at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services in Warrenton, North Carolina.
