Mr. Booker T. Gray

Booker T. Gray Jr., was born June 5, 1944 to Booker T. Gray Sr. and Mary A. Durham-Gray in Butler, GA. He was called home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2020. Booker was the second born of nine children. Preceding him in death is his mother and father, and two siblings, brother, Milton Gray and sister Sherrelyn L.Gray-Robinson. Also preceding him in death his eldest son, Carlous L. Gray. Booker truly valued his education. He graduated Class of 1962 from W.A. Fountain High School in Forest Park, GA. After high school he attended Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL after receiving his degree he was drafted into the U.S. Army, but before his deployment he was joined in marriage to late Frankie M. Chambless. Booker was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, and upon his Honorable Discharge from the Army he enrolled in the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. After graduating he open his own dental practice in Birmingham, Alabama where he worked for many years until his health begin to decline. He retired with a five star rating and due to many health issues he returned to his first love “Butler Georgia” where he lived and loved until his death He leaves to cherish his memories two children Greta Chambless of Millbrook, Al and Timothy (Adrienne) Gray of Birmingham, AL; Sisters, Gloria M. Hill of Atlanta, GA, Ethel M. Gray of Atlanta, GA, and Eleanor D. Gray of Albany, GA; brothers, Aldean Gray of Riverdale, GA, Bud J. Gray of Atlanta, GA, and Bobby W. Gray of Thomaston, GA; one brother-in-law, Jeffery Robinson of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends, and a long time, friend Tina Bowles
