Obituary For Janice Elaine Holmes

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 9:00 a.m., Westhaven Funeral Home Chapel, 3580 Robinson Street, Jackson, MS 39209.

Janice Elaine Lundy-Holmes, born October 4, 1952 in Jackson, MS at 9 p.m. Janice departed her life on September 13, 2020 in her Bolton, MS home. Janice was employed with Pacific Bell (SBC Telecom) until her retirement. She went on to complete her Bachelors and Master’s in Health Administration at the University of Phoenix. Janice had accepted Christ and was a devoted faithful member of St. Thomas Missionary Baptist church in Bolton, MS for many years. Janice is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Thomas-Lundy, her father, Joel Lundy, Sr. and her sister Arutha Ann Smith (Gregory Smith). She is survived by her siblings: Clara Stevenson (Chester Stevenson), Joel Lundy, Jr. (Faye Lundy), and Jerald Lundy (Jennie Lundy); children: Felicia Holmes, Tiarra Holmes and Laurence Holmes; 8 grandchildren: Jalil Asharri, Kadeejah Asharri, Amirah Asharri, Maariyah Muhammad, Aasif Muhammad, Na’fiah Muhammad, Claymore Radford Collins II, and Jordan-Sage Marie Bradley; two great-grandchildren: Maleiyah Michelle Muhammad and Meyah Marie Muhammad; and a host of other relatives and friends.
