Obituary For Deborah Brooks

Mrs. Deborah “DeeDee” Brooks was born July 17,1955 in Gastonia, North Carolina. The daughter of Alyce White and the late Edward White. She departed this life Sunday, September 6, 2020.

DeeDee attended Antacostia High School in Washington D.C. She later moved to Dallas, N.C where she married and raised her family. She retired from Walmart in 2019 after 26 years of dedicated customer service.

DeeDee will be lovingly remembered for her straight forwardness, sly smile and infectious laugh.

She is proceeded in death by her beloved Sweet Mama, Alice White Meadows, her husband, Joseph Brooks, her daughter, Candice Brooks and her father, Edward White.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her Mother, Alyce White of Gastonia N.C and three children: Taniekia Coleman of San Antonio, Texas, Brandi Brooks of Dallas, N.C. and Josef “Joey” Brooks of Gastonia, N.C. She also leaves behind four grand-daughters Emauny, Ariel, Zaria and Emma and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ava and two nephews to whom she was a Mother figure to Patel and Terrell Hill of Gastonia, N.C. along with a host of friends and relatives.

Walk thru viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8.

Graveside service at Gaston Memorial Park on Saturday; September 19, 2020 at 12 noon
