Mother Eura Dell Washington

Eura Dell Washington was born on March 21, 1930 in Dawson, Georgia to the late David Johnson Sr. and Alma Fuller Johnson. She attended the public schools in Dawson, GA.

In 1945, Mother Washington relocated to Ideal Holding in Fort Pierce, FL. Mother Washington joined The Apostle Faith Church of Jesus under the leadership of Bishop Dye in 1952. In the 1960's, Mother Washington remained a faithful member of the Apostle Faith Church of Jesus while under the leadership of the late Elder Isaac Miller Sr., and then the Apostle Faith Church of Deliverance while under the leadership of the late Elder Isaac Miller Jr, and the current Pastor & Overseer Grace Miller. She was a faithful and active member of this flock until her Savior called her home. Mother Washington faithfully served as Church Secretary, member of the Adult Choir, Missionary, and member of the Mother Board.

Mother Washington was employed by SandPiper Bay and Club Med Laundry for 35 years, and Moss Clothing Store for 5 years before retiring in 1998.

Mother Washington raised three wonderful children whom she cared for dearly, and never missed the opportunity to share with them the goodness of the Lord through word and good deeds.

On September 13, 2020, Mother Washington's life book closed in the quietness of Palm Garden. Left to cherish her fond memories are two daughters, Ruby Jean Ellis of Fort Pierce, FL and Annette (John) Turner of Port St Lucie, FL; two sisters, Jannie (James) Fair of St. Louis, MO and Louella Johnson Anderson of Fort Pierce, FL; one daughter n law, Beverly Hariell; eight grandchildren, Marcia Washington (Jeffrey) Rodgers, LeQuori (Markeis) Washington, Aneisha Graydon, Thomas Lerron Washington, Regina Ellis, Ayona Ellis (Noah) Boston, Juan DelMario (April) Ellis, Regina Martin Keyes; fifteen great-grandchildren, Katlyn (Joseph) Alston-DeGree, Johnita (Kevin) Davis, John Brittmon, Tavaris Moss, Nya Boston, Bianca Covington, Gabrielle Ellis, Cassius Ellis, Jaheem Ellis, Marcell Ellis, Brooke Ellis, Alana Ellis, Jahkai Washington, Ayden Merritt, Amir Washington, LeQuori Washington Jr.; four great-great-grandchildren, Kendall, Kevin, Kaleah, Jakobi, Chantler, Josiah; one god-son, Blake Mabry; one god-daughter, Debra Bethune, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mother Washington was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Lee Washington; three sisters, Clemonteen Johnson Patterson, Daisy Johnson Beauford and Annie Kate Johnson Jackson; four brothers, David Johnson Jr., Frankie Johnson, Garrett Johnson and Thomas Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Randall Alston, Chris Alston and Asa Covington.

Public visitation for Mother Eura Dell Washington will take place on Friday, September 18, 2020 by way of our drive-thru in the rear of Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm. A Homegoing Celebration will convene on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 1:00pm at Apostle Faith Church of Deliverance in Fort Pierce, FL. Burial will immediately follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
