Obituary For Dorothy Mae Bishop

Dorothy Mae Bishop, 72, of Radcliff, died Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

Mrs. Bishop was a native of Pineville, KY and the daughter of the late Robert and Lena Parrott Smith. She was employed as a nurse at Ireland Army Community Hospital retiring in 2004 and was a member of Stithton Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bobby Peavley; and a brother, Robert Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Bishop of Radcliff, KY; two children, Robert Bishop (Maggie) and Stacy Bishop; four sisters, Maxine Potter, Lena Foley (James), Martha Ferguson (Michael) and Bessie Elliott (Larry); three grandchildren, Jordan Bishop, Mariah Collins and Elijah Brown; and grandmother figure of four; Malik Taylor, Levi Martin, Raughniesha Lewis and Abram Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; including two special friends Cinderella Waldon and Sheila Comeford.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, at Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff, KY with the Prophet Michael Ferguson and Pastor Denver Copeland officiating. Music with be provided by Evangelist Jake Ravizee and Jane Hunt. Pallbearers: Jim Spears, Malik Taylor, Datril Frierson, Fred Bishop, Christopher Connors, Edward Bishop, Cory Merritt, Micah Skeeters and Honorary Pallbarers: Jordan Bishop, Eli Brown, Levi Martin, Abram Martin, Brian Eklund, M.D.

The Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 21, at Percell & Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY.

Percell & Sons Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

The Interment will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, at Rosenwald Cemetery in Barbourville, KY. The graveside service will be conducted by Prophet Michael Ferguson. Pallbarers: Jim Spears, Malik Taylor, Fred Bishop, Edward Bishop, Phillip Elliott, Shaun Brown, Josh Brock, Harold Hill. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of the Interment.
