Mrs. Earnestine B.J. Alexander was born December 4, 1943 to the union of Jessie B. Rice and Addie Mae Rice in West Blocton, AL.

She departed this life on September 18, 2020.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mount Olive Baptist Church and served as the Secretary under the leadership of Reverend Pierce then later united with Mission Baptist Church.

She was remembered for her soul food cooking, her southern hospitality, and was well known for her famous Macaroni and Cheese.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie B. Rice & Addie Mae Rice; Daughter, Sharon Lynn Alexander.

Earnestine leaves to cherish her legacy and loving memories to: Husband, Lindsey Alexander; Son, Clifford (Theresa) Alexander Sr., Daughters, Cynthia Alexander and Margaret Stevenson, Debra (Albert) Adair, Cynthia Watson and Vanessa Jones; Grandchildren, Tameka Wilson, Clifford Alexander Jr., Alicia Stevenson, Nyquitta Knight, Ja’Breylon Woody, Quarticia Rudolph, Jermaine Jones, Sharon Alexander and a host of great- grandchildren, all of Gadsden, AL.; Sister, Carol Rice of Boston, Mass.; Aunt, Sarah Lee Hill of West Blocton, AL. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Public viewing will be held from 5-7, Friday, September 25, 2020 Funeral services will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Mission Baptist Church at 1:00 pm. Pastor Grady E. Robinson Jr., Eulogist Burial: Crestwood Cemetery
