The Obituary Of Tracey Lynette Simmons

Tracey was born on December 16, 1974 in Thomasville, GA. Tracey’s early education was at North Boston Elementary School. After moving to Dixie, GA, she attended the Brooks County School system, playing the flute for 2 years in the Brooks County Marching Band. She graduated from Brooks County High School in 1993.

Tracey attended Southern Regional Technical College and majored in Nursing. She graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2005. She faithfully served until she became ill in the line of duty.

After a long and tiring battle, Tracey’s body wore down and went into rest on September 12, 2020 surrounded with the LOVE of her family.

Tracey is preceded in death by cousins Ellie “Junior” Bryant, Cory Roundtree, Aunt Mary Bryant, and “Grandaddy” Ellie “Goat” Bryant Sr.

A beloved daughter, granddaughter, mother, grandmother, big sister, special aunt, cousin, friend, and a caring nurse to many, Tracey leaves to cherish precious memories two daughters; Amir and Aria Miller; her grandson Kashton J. Chrispen; mama and dad, Adon and Linda Harper; brother Rufus (Monique) Harper; sisters Daquisha (Daniel) Jackson, and Brigette Harper, of Thomasville, GA; Grandmother (mama) Bessie Golden, Boston, GA; nieces Lakeyvia (Koby) Virgil, D’ Mecia and Raven Harper; nephews Malik Harper, Caden and Gatlin Jackson; two great nieces Karsyn and Kyliegh Virgil; a special uncle with a shared birthday Ellie “Boo Boo” Bryant (Mae Frances), Darron Bryant, Earnest Bryant, Boston, GA; special aunt and confidant Remeak “Sheena” Davis, Boston, GA, Cathy Bryant, Quitman, GA; best friend Stephanine Graham; god-daughter Alexandria Graham, and her 4W/6N work family.

Tracey had a gentle and caring spirit that could always “Find the bright side” of any given situation. This she practiced in her 15 years as a nurse. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, coworkers, and patients.
