Obituary For Debra Trotman M Simmons

Mrs. Debra M Trotman Simmons, 58, of Columbus, GA passed on Friday, September 18, 2020 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Franchise Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Raymond Cochran, Pastor. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.

Debra was born September 30, 1961 in Phenix City, AL to the late Mr. Crawford Trotman Sr. and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hunter Trotman. She attended Central High School in Phenix City, AL: an was a proud graduate of the 79' class. Debra was employed by Schuster Enterprises where she spent over 30 years brightening everyone's day with her warm smile. In 1981, Debra married her high school sweetheart, this union was blessed with three loving children. There were many accolades presented throughout her life but she held the honor of being a devoted wife and mother first and foremost. Sadly, on September 18, 2020 she departed this life peacefully at her home. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Mr. Clifford Simmons Sr. of Columbus, Georgia; three children, Mary (Michael) Ramsey, Kimberly (William) Vesga, and Clifford Simmons Jr., all of Columbus, Georgia; one grandchild, Kiara Michelle Addison of Columbus, Georgia; three brothers, Crawford Trotman, Rodney (Tina) Trotman, both of Columbus, Georgia, and Bobby (Gail) Trotman of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Alice(Amos) Brooks of Indianapolis, Indiana;one aunt, Ruthie Sellers of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Debra was the sweetest. She always gave good advice and always had a listening ear to any situation that you had. It seems like just yesterday she was telling me to keep praying until something happens. I'm going to miss you Mrs Debra.
